Terms of Service
By purchasing any product and/or service from HalfPriceResumes.com, you (as the customer) agree to the following:
1. Revisions
Each product we offer includes two instances of minor to moderate revisions
that must be redeemed within 14 days of your – the customer –
receiving the first draft of your résumé (or other product)
that we have completed for you. Examples of acceptable revisions include date/address
changes, errors in job description bullets, and minor stylistic changes. Examples
of unacceptable revisions include you – the customer – sending
your résumé back to us with a completely different job target
in mind that has resulted from your having been initially unclear with the
information you submitted to us at the time of the order. Also, if we have
reason to believe that you – the customer – are seeking revisions
to accommodate an additional résumé for someone other than yourself
(e.g. a complete name, work history, and/or address change from the information
you initially submitted in your order), we reserve the right to refuse making
those changes as well. Revisions sought that involve changing the overall
layout and design features of a product will be considered on a case-by-case
basis. In this case, changes will only be made if the customer presents a
valid argument regarding the ineffectuality of a particular design/layout
choice made by one of our writers.
2. Payment Verification
All prices advertised on HalfPriceResumes.com are listed in United States
Dollars; any foreign currency received for an order must accurately convert
to the appropriate U.S. Dollar amount, or payment will be returned and services
will be refused until proper payment is submitted.
HalfPriceResumes.com will not begin work on any services you – the customer –have ordered from us until your method of payment has cleared and been deemed valid. Also, any orders received with an incorrect sum of payment will not be commenced upon until the entire due payment has been received and cleared. Finally, any delay in the delivery of your product that results from time needed for payment to clear is not the responsibility or fault of HalfPriceResumes.com.
3. Refunds
Refunds will be granted in full ONLY if requested within 24 hours of finalizing
your order with HalfPriceResumes.com. “Finalizing” will be defined
as the point in time after payment is received that you actually submit the
Résumé Content Submission Form. This
allows due time for any customer who has mistakenly ordered a product to cancel
his/her order. No refund – in any amount – however will be granted
after this 24-hour period, especially when requested after the product has
been received by you – the customer. In the event that the customer
provides a reasonable argument involving repeated technological failure in
trying to receive his/her product(s) via email, HalfPriceResumes.com will
work with him/her to provide a delivery solution. Any additional postage and/or
materials costs which result from this alternative delivery method are the
sole responsibility of the customer. A refund will not be issued simply due
to technological issues (on the customer’s end) with receiving the product(s).
The only exception to this clause will come during time periods when special, limited-time offers (e.g. full-refund if not 100% satisfied) are being extended to the customer by HalfPriceResumes.com.. During these instances, the special offer will be clearly stated on the site’s home page.
"100% Satisfied" in the context of all transactions completed through HalfPriceResumes.com will be defined as the customer's own satisfaction with the product ordered. All customer grievances related to dissatisfaction must be reported within 14 days from the date that the customer's documents were delivered to his/her email inbox address as provided at the time he/she ordered. As mentioned below, under "Product Guarantees", we do not guarantee that desired interviews nor jobs will be secured as a result of a resume alone; there are far too many determinant factors involved throughout the job search process that are beyond our control as resume writers, and we will be held accountable for neither a customer's lack of qualifications nor ineffective job search efforts.
4. Estimation of Delivery Time
HalfPriceResumes.com makes no guarantee regarding the amount of time necessary
to complete and deliver a product after the time of sale. In the vast majority
of cases, you – the customer – can expect to receive your ordered
product(s) within 3 business days of your payment having cleared. However,
due to extreme volume, it may take longer. Accordingly, if after 10 business
days, the customer has still not received his/her product(s), he/she is eligible
for a complete refund. The customer should understand, nevertheless, that
any delay incurred in product delivery that results from his/her delayed method
of payment or his/her inferior completion of the “Résumé
Content Submission Form” (or any other information necessary to complete
and deliver a quality product) is the responsibility of the customer and cannot
be used against HalfPriceResumes.com in regard to the time necessary to deliver
an ordered product.
5. Delivery Method
You, the customer, acknowledge that your order shall be fulfilled electronically
via email in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF file formats. These electronic formats
allow for the revisions process to take place quickly, and for you to choose
the appropriate number of copies and your own stationery that YOU feel best
suits your résumé. If you do not own MS Word, you can download
the Adobe Reader at their website (http://www.adobe.com)
for free. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you are acknowledging awareness
that you will not be mailed a paper copy of your product unless a special
agreement is reached with HalfPriceResumes.com prior to the sale.
6. Product Guarantees
HalfPriceResumes.com cannot (nor can anyone else without lying) guarantee
that any product completed for the customer will absolutely secure a desired
job or position. The purpose of a good résumé and/or cover letter
is to increase the chance that you – the customer – will stand
out in a pile of other résumés and be given the chance to interview
for a particular job. There are some significant factors in getting a job
(e.g. grooming habits and interpersonal skills) which are beyond our control.
Therefore, while we CAN promise to do everything within reason to ensure the
customer is provided with the quality product for which he/she ordered, WE
ARE NOT MIRACLE WORKERS.
7. Product Quality
HalfPriceResumes.com is highly committed to providing only the highest quality
products possible. The customer must realize, however, that while we take
sole responsibility for the overall design and layout quality of our products,
the quality of all content within those products can only be as good as the
information our writers are provided with. Unfortunately, the best writer
in the world cannot write a résumé that represents a customer
well if that customer doesn’t provide him/her with adequate information.
Accordingly, it is extremely important that you – the customer –
provide us with as thorough information as possible when completing your order.
8. Ethics Policy
The truthfulness of any information submitted by the customer regarding the
products/materials HalfPriceResumes.com will be preparing for them is that
customer’s complete responsibility. HalfPriceResumes.com will not be
held accountable for reproducing any inaccurate information that is submitted
to us when ordering a product. Furthermore, any fraudulent or illegal course
of action that is pursued through the use of materials/products prepared by
HalfPriceResumes.com is not our responsibility.
